So- I entered the local Kirby Gallery Photography Contest again this year... (I have entered for the past two years...)

and I got "the call" today! WooHoo! They called to tell me that I won 1st place in the Animal category, 3rd in Black & White, as well as, 3rd in the open category. YAY! There were about 15 to 20 pictures entered into each category... so I am very tickled to win three ribbons :-) can you tell that I am excited...

The bottom pic didn't turn out nearly at clean and focused at the first one. I just included it because I liked Skooters paw trying to reach through the barn slats.

Cute Kid

This is Jesse Hales. He is about 13 months old now, but this was taken back in July when we (members of our church) were in Montana on a mission trip. His father, Darren, is planting a church in Montana and is a missionary with the North American Mission Board. Click on the link to go and check out Big Sky Baptist. We have been there on mission for two summers in a row now, and have fallen in love with the Hales family as well as Helena.
